Mr. George I. Addison, Jr. age 80 of Fayetteville NC departed this life on June 6, 2013.
He is survived by: wife, Mary; sons, George I. Addison, III (Pam), L. Michael Addison (Tabatha), Vernon Addison (Linda); daughters, Veronica Miller, Tina Hill (William); fourteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; seven siblings, Joseph (Alice), Thomas (Delores), Elmer (Kathleen), Roland (Helen), Katie Jackson, Alberta Ford (Emmitt) and Joyce Dockett (Freeman) and a host of other relatives and friends.
SK George will be laid to rest at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake, NC.

Richard Louis Fisher, 86, of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
He was born on January 3, 1927, in Fayette County, PA, to the late Elizabeth Anne Ferro Fisher and Charles E. Fisher.
He was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran.
Richard Joined the Fayetteville Kiwanis Club in 1980, was a Distinguished President, The Terrific Kids Chairman for 12 years and a Kiwanian for 33 years. He was a Distinguished Lt. Governor for Division 11 of the Carolinas District of Kiwanis for the year 1996 – 1997. He was The Terrific Kids Chairman for Division 11 of the Carolinas District of Kiwanis for the years of 1999-2000 and 2000-2001. He became a lifetime member of Kiwanis International on January 30, 2002.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church where he was a 4th Degree with the Knights of Columbus active for over 33 years.
He was also the owner of Select Mold Service, Inc. of Fayetteville, NC for 37 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret "Peggy" Fisher; one son Richard "Rick" Fisher, Jr.; and one daughter Margaret "Peggy" Banks.
He is survived by wife Veronica Fisher of the home, a daughter Mary Blaylock, a grandson Michael Roller, a nephew Mike Karpel, and sister-in-law Patricia Taylor, all of Fayetteville, NC.

Mr. Jesus Lugo, 81, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at his residence.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Also he was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
He was born on August 29, 1932 in Arecibo, PR to the late Rafael Lugo and Asuncion Feliciano Lugo.
He is survived by his wife Jeannette Gonzalez-Lugo; two daughters Patricia Eaton, of Fayetteville, NC and Denise Lugo-Dutcher and husband Darryl, of Fayetteville, NC; one grandson Nicholas Eaton, of Fayetteville, NC; three sisters Antonia Martin, of Brussels, Belgium, Maria Lugo, of Guaynabo, PR, and Marta Campos, of Scottsdale, AZ; one brother Angel Luis Lugo, of San Juan, PR.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. A funeral mass will follow at 12 noon. Burial will be in Municipal Cemetery of Arecibo, in Arecibo, PR.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Cancer Center of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center 1638 Owen Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Sir Knight William“Bill” Lund

Sir Knight William "Bill" Lund passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. Bill was a retired US Army Master Sergeant who served with the 5th and 7th Special Forces Groups and Special Operations Group in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
He received eleven medals and commendations during his service in the military, including a Bronze Star and an Army Commendation Medal. He later graduated from Pembroke State University with a degree in Criminal Justice and worked as a probation/parole officer for the State of NC. His clients often told members of his family that he was instrumental in turning their lives around. He retired after 15 years of service to the state. Mr. Lund was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church where he taught 7th Grade Catechism for many years. He established the Catechism at the Korean Catholic Community Church in Fayetteville. He was active in the Knights of Columbus, Right to Life, and Carmelites. He was a Eucharistic Minister at the Veterans Hospital for many years.

Lund is survived by his wife, Jean Lund of Fayetteville; daughter, Jennie Lund of Roseboro; son Kim Lund and his wife, Janice, of Fayetteville; Erie Lund and his wife, Karen of Colonial Heights, VA; Lisa Misiuda and her husband, Greg of Matthews; Therese Mulcahy and her husband, Patrick, of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Jessica, Jennie, Sherie, Carrie, Ian, Bradley, Patrick, Madison and Gabrielle; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, Noah, Scarlett, Loren and Addison.

William Joseph Miller, 88, of Fayetteville, formerly of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away in Haymount Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Friday, September 19, 2014.
He was a WWII Army veteran and a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church at 5:30 PM.
He is survived by his wife, Bonita Miller; children: Amy Miller; Patrick Miller and his wife, Pam; Tony Miller; Bridgid Kozik and her husband, Bill; Gina Jorsch and her husband, Colin; and Amanda Kowal and her husband, Rick; grandchildren, Adam Miller; Erik Miller and his wife, Mary; Luke Miller and his wife, Sarah; Nichole Harris and her husband, Joe; Emily Miller; Katrina Jorsch, Damien Kowal, and Kendra Kowal; great grandchildren, Hannah Miller, Tyson Miller, Madison Harris, Malcorne Miller, Easton Harris and Hollie Miller.

Sir Knight Francis John Shunk
FAYETTEVILLE — Francis John Shunk, 76 of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
He faithfully served our country, he retired from the US Army after 20 years. MSG (R) Shunk served during the Korean Vietnam War. After his retirement with the armed forces, he served in Cumberland County as Magistrate for 20 years.
A mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Carlson, officiating. Full military honors will be rendered at the church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Joan Shunk of the home; son, Michael Shunk of Carbondale, CO; daughter, Mary Kuhns of Plantation, FL.

Neil Vince Jr. was born in Defuniak Springs, Fl on May 12, 1949 to Elizabeth Jackson and Neal Venice. He departed this life on February 9, 2022.
Neil was married to Joana Grayson-Vince (Feb 1972-Feb 2022) for just 10 days shy of 50 years. Of this union, they had one daughter, Sasheena Vince, JD.
Neil was preceded in death by his grandmother Minnie Jackson, mother Elizabeth Jackson, twin aunts Martha Cole and Mary Jackson all who helped raise him; his father Neal Venice, 2 brothers Randy and James; a cousin Margaret; a nephew Edmund; a niece Millie Ann all of Fl, a niece Lynnetta Grayson of La; 3 brother in laws Leroy, Robert and Jeron Grayson, 2 sister in laws Doretha Johnson, and Patricia Ann Howard all of La.
Neil leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Joana; his daughter Sasheena; 3 sisters Mary and Genevive of Fl and Sally of Alabama; 3 brothers Robert, Whelan, and Fred of Fl; 1 brother-in-law Earnest (Bertha) Grayson of NC, 2 Sister in Laws Carrie Mae (Henry) Johnson, Marion McCaleb (the late David) all of Louisiana; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves behind many who considered him as a father figure, his fraternity and other organizational brothers, and many close friends and neighbors.

Retired U.S. Army SFC Albert "Al" Wyatt, 85, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
After his military career, Mr. Wyatt began his own company, Wyatt Heating and Cooling which he operated for over 25 years.
He was a devoted member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Left to cherish his memories are wife, Dorothy "Dottie" Wyatt of the home; son, Michael Wyatt of Clarksville, TN; daughters, Denise Goldner of Myrtle Beach, SC, Mary Anne Alcala of Fayetteville, and Christine Huhn of Rocky Mount; sisters, Joyce Parks of Salem, OR, Margaret Aberle of Savannah, GA, and Catherine Hermans of Yamhill, OR; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
